This event is a definition of CULTURAL GREATNESS!  Not just honoring the LEGACY of African Americans all over world (past & present); but also local humanitarians, who are changing our communities for the better!  We select a man and woman (yes, equal opportunity), who have been TRAILBLAZERS in the City of Yonkers, NY. 

They are honored with a Luncheon, which is attended by friends and family of the honorees; residents, political officials and media.  They are bestowed with many proclamations and awards.

  During the month; we also offer historical documentaries/films and seminars that focus on African American history and world history, such as: the Civil Rights Era,  Harlem Renaissance, World wars, contributions to education/business/science/music/sports, etc.
