Chaplain, Tom Ray


Tom Ray was born and raised in Yonkers, NY.  He is known as a Community Leader; who brings positive vibes, a calm and rational spirit and a productive work ethic! 

(he also has a smile that lights up a room). Besides being the Chaplain in the Yonkers African American Heritage Committee, he is also the Entertainment Chairperson for their Juneteenth 'Summer Stage' Festival and an MC at various events.  He has been a well-known Poet and Spoken-word artist for many years. 


He is also a Curator and is the Program Director of the 'Expressive Readers Course', which is a reading program that is geared towards youths and it takes place at the Nepperhan Community Center, Yonkers, NY.  He has been an Educator for many years in the Yonkers Public Schools District and a Teaching Artist for ARTS10566.

Tom is the Author of, "The Thoughts of Ray; from my heart to yours", "P.A.I.N. Progress After its Nemesis".

He is currently working on the sequel, "The Thoughts of Ray".
